Stacking the Shelves {21} + a Giveaway!

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews, where bloggers share recently bought, borrowed, won, and gifted books (print or ebooks)!

My book-buying ban has obviously been failing. *sigh* But what's a girl to do? If I don't buy books, I buy food, then I gain weight and get sad; I buy books and not food, I feel guilty having so many unread books on my shelf. I need to find something to save up for. An Instax, perhaps...

I bought A Feast for Crows because winter Game of Thrones season is coming; I shall start reading it when I'm done watching season 3. I wasn't the most loyal fan last year because I read A Storm of Swords before the season started and I was like, ha, I already know that *spoiler!* and *spoiler!* and *spoiler!* dies, anyway. The 100 I got because the TV show is gonna start airing on the 19th (which is also my birthday but let's forget I'm getting older). And then there's Hollow City. I read Miss P not so long ago but although I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd expected to, I'm still looking forward to reading this sequel - and to getting it signed by Ransom Riggs next month!

I still remember going to three different malls as soon as my local bookstore tweeted that they already had copies of these two babies. Of course I found them in the third mall :| But they're worth the trip! Ignite Me is nothing but fantastic and it made me very happy. And to complete my collection - and because novellas in print are just precious to me - of course I also got Unite Me. I don't have a review for this bind-up, but I've reviewed both Destroy Me (WARNER BABYYYY) and Fracture Me.

The Scorpio Races was an impulse buy because I couldn't anymore resist the pretteh cover. I was going to ask my sister to get me the UK edition but then they released this piece of gorgeous and it's even better. And just last Tuesday, I went to the mall with my sisters and saw a half-price table in the bookstore from where I picked up Second Helpings, but when I went inside I put it down and got Anna and the French Kiss instead. I'm still readying my heart for Etienne St. Clair, because I know I need to. My heart is not good with handling swoon.

Lastly, the ever-amazing Kate Evangelista surprised me with a copy of her new book Til Death when she sent me some of the bookmarks that I designed along with a ton of other swag! What's funny is that the package arrived just as I was a few chapters away from finishing the eARC :)) Of course I finished reading with the paperback, duh.

And because I already have a copy of Til Death, one lucky PH resident will win a personalized signed copy of the book! I'll be attending the book launch on the 15th and I want to get a copy signed, no matter whose name is on it! ;D

  1. OMG, you have like the best haul of ever! I LOVE The Scorpio Races. Totally hooked me in...and I just finished Anna and the French Kiss, which is definitely swoon-worthy, but I was a bit disappointed that they didn't see much of Paris. (I'm a sucker for all things Paris.) I wasn't such a fan of Miss Peregrine's either. ;) OH BUT OMG IGNITE ME.

  2. Amazing haul! I'm only in the middle of the first Game of Throne books that I'm buddy reading with a friend. We love it so far! =D I'd also love to have Unite Me even though I read both novellas in it. I still have to read Ignite Me but it's waiting for me on my shelves to read. And oh Til Death. I'd love to have a print copy of that. I adore Kate Evangelista! =D

    Happy Reading!

  3. What a great haul! I, of course, loved the Shatter Me series. Warner. Swoon. Anna and the French Kiss remains one of my favorite YA contemporaries of all time. Kate's book is on my TBR, so I'm thrilled at the chance to win a copy! :)

Enjoy all your new lovelies and thanks for the giveaway!

  5. Nice haul. I'm one of the few people who's yet to read GoT but I heard it's awesome! Scorpio Races is awesome too! I don't think I'll be able to go to Til Death's release because school is almost over and there's sooo many things to do but I cannot and I will not miss the April signing event!

  11. That's a great haul! I recently bought The Scorpio Races and it looks amazing. And I love Anna and the French Kiss - it's so cute! Also, I really need to carry on reading A Song of Ice and Fire - I've had A Dance with Dragons sitting in my TBR list for months.

  12. This is a great haul of books! I have been into buying ebooks lately since we don't really have a book store that is close. I miss having actual physical copies in my hands though, so I feel like I need a trip to a bookstore soon.
