Waiting on Wednesday {40}

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, where bloggers post about much-awaited releases!

 Title: Tape
Author: Steven Camden
Release Date: January 30th 2014
Publisher: HarperCollins Children's Books
Age Group: Young Adult
Record a voice and it lasts forever…
In 1993, Ryan records a diary on an old tape. He talks about his mother’s death, about his dreams, about his love for a new girl at school who doesn’t even know he exists.
In 2013, Ameliah moves in with her grandmother after her parents die. There, she finds a tape in the spare room. A tape with a boy’s voice on it – a voice she can’t quite hear, but which seems to be speaking to her.
Ryan and Ameliah are connected by more than just a tape.
This is their story.
First, I just love this cover. And doesn't the book sound totally unique? I'm also very curious as to how a spoken-word artist's book turned out to be.

Title: Ignite Me (Shatter Me #3)
Author: Tahereh Mafi
Release Date: February 4th 2013
Publisher: HarperCollins
Age Group: Young Adult
Juliette now knows she may be the only one who can stop the Reestablishment. But to take them down, she'll need the help of the one person she never thought she could trust: Warner. And as they work together, Juliette will discover that everything she thought she knew-about Warner, her abilities, and even Adam-was wrong.
In Shatter Me, Tahereh Mafi created a captivating and original story that combined the best of dystopian and paranormal and was praised by Publishers Weekly as "a gripping read from an author who's not afraid to take risks." The sequel, Unravel Me, blew readers away with heart-racing twists and turns, and New York Times bestselling author Kami Garcia said it was "dangerous, sexy, romantic, and intense." Now this final book brings the series to a shocking and climactic end.
Another series-ender. *sobs* After this book, there won't be any more Warner. *wails* Normally, I'd put off reading this, but I need steamier-than-chapter-62 parts okay.

  1. Ahh the cover of Tape is soooo pretty! I love books with that have this kind of 'drawn' covers. They are gorgeous! I haven't yet read the Shatter Me series, so I can't be too excited about Ignite Me. And I know, I should definitely read that one!
