Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, where bloggers post about much-awaited releases!

Title: Tsarina
Author: J. Nelle Patrick
Release Date: February 27th 2014
Publisher: Razorbill
Age Group: Young Adult
Natalya knows a secret.
A magical Faberge egg glows within the walls of Russia's Winter Palace.
It holds a power rooted in the land and stolen from the mystics.
A power that promises a life of love for her and Alexei Romanov.
Power, that, in the right hands, can save her way of life.
But it's not in the right hands.
Give. Me. This. Book. Now. I have a fascination with things Romanov Russia (although I know little about it), so of course I want this. Besides, how is that Faberge egg magical? Is it a dragon egg?!

Title: Half Bad (Half Life #1)
Author: Sally Green
Release Date: March 4th 2014
Publisher: Viking Juvenile
Age Group: Young Adult
In modern-day England, witches live alongside humans: White witches, who are good; Black witches, who are evil; and fifteen-year-old Nathan, who is both. Nathan’s father is the world’s most powerful and cruel Black witch, and his mother is dead. He is hunted from all sides. Trapped in a cage, beaten and handcuffed, Nathan must escape before his sixteenth birthday, at which point he will receive three gifts from his father and come into his own as a witch—or else he will die. But how can Nathan find his father when his every action is tracked, when there is no one safe to trust—not even family, not even the girl he loves?
Oooh, witches in modern-day England! Also, the protagonist's struggle between his good and bad side should be interesting. And that cover! *drools*

  4. The cover for Tsarina is pretty. I hadn't even heard of it. Since we studies Russian history in history classes in HS (coming from a small European country and all, we must learn the big ones) and since I know some of its history, I wouldn't mind tackling this. Oh, and, of course, Half Bad. Who isn't looking forward to it ;) I hope you enjoy both :)
